HBO has greenlighted highly anticipated fantasy series "Game of Thrones."Let's hope that this doesn't go the way of Legend of the Seeker, and takes more of a tack consistent with HBO's previous works, but without turning off the tap early, a la Rome.
The premium network has picked up the project for a first season debut next spring (below is the first released photo from the series). Nine episodes plus the pilot have been ordered. Production will begin in Belfast this June.

That looks cool. Too bad I don't get Hobo.
I don't either, but the seasons should be available through NetFlix at some point, which seems to be the only way I intentionally watch television lately.
The Tudors is a great series as well. It's on Showtime and iTunes.
Have you seen the board games? They look awesome.
Tudors: queued on NetFlix.
The Game of Thrones boardgames crossed my radar some years ago, before I started reading the series... Thanks for bringing them to my attention again, Kawaika, as I'm not sure they're have crossed it again. (I'm looking into it, in other words.)
I haven't read the series yet (someone bought four books for me, but I just haven't gotten around to reading them yet), but I still want to get the board games.
For some odd reason I'm really interested in board games at the moment, although I can hardly ever find people to play them with.
