The West: An Interpretive Dance

Via the Smoking Gun:
JANUARY 28--Two Tennessee women who accused a man of rape have admitted to cops that they had consensually agreed to sex with him in exchange for a pack of cigarettes. One woman told investigators that the duo filed a phony police report because they "didn't enjoy the sex," according to cops.
Split between them, a five-dollar pack is about $2.50. Now, what two (or more) consenting adults do with themselves is none of my business, but I think he was taken for a ride, so to speak. Were they more attractive, or were another intoxicant involved, then perhaps they would have a case; regret is the new threshold of evidence.

Would they lie about something as serious as rape?

The first one, maybe. The second one, she'd have to pay me. Anyway, I didn't know that prostitutes were so cheap nowadays. At that price you could even afford to pay to have them tested first!

Women will kill their unborn children to protect their reputations from inconvenient evidence. They will definitely lie to do the same thing.

I wonder if this price cut is factored into the "woman's worth" calculations...

I'd like to know how a man is supposed to rape two women at the same time. That would be a feat for the record book, I would think.

No wonder the cops were suspicious of their stories.

Sex, lies, smokes, "near-rape"... This is one pathetic mess, to be sure. Let's just hope that someone had the foresight to exercise some sort of birth-control, or that they're already sterile.

With regard to Erik's comment, I'd hit it.

Seriously, though... I wouldn't fish that pond with someone else's tackle. The drugs that he would have to be under to voluntarily and successfully simultaneously rape that pair of delicate damsels would indicate some sort of larger societal problem on the horizon.

Cases like this are why I believe that filing a false police report should be merged into the perjury statute in each state.
