Yep, with hardly a thought ahead of what the consequences might be.

A while ago, I was involved in a few robotics-oriented competitions, and had an eye on applying for some of the DARPA-sponsored events, since we had a few awards under our belts and fires under our seats.

However, after considerable thought and a few philosophical revisions later, I'd sooner stick a fork in my eye than develop technology for the State.

I'm spending my time now tinkering with technology focused on making self-sufficient lifestyles both easy and elegant.
